Widower of murdered woman wants justice

The widower of a woman who was shot dead 10 years ago today says he wants justice for her death, and he will not have closure until her killer is found.

Marian Bates was killed trying to protect her daughter after armed robbers burst into the family jewellery business in Nottingham.

Peter Williams was later jailed for her murder. But the man suspected of pulling the trigger, James Brodie, has never caught. Police believe Brodie is dead. Marian Bates' husband Victor is not so sure.

It is ten years ago to the day that Marian Bates was shot dead in the family jewellery shop in Arnold, near Nottingham.

The 64-year-old was shot trying to protect their daughter Xanthe, who had a gun pointed at her by one of the robbers.
