Hinckley council hopes football club can continue

Bosses at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council say they hope the town's football club can continue to exist.

It follows the winding up of Hinckley Utd at Birmingham High Court earlier today.

The council considers the football club to be a valuable community asset and therefore will be keeping a watching brief.

We will commence dialogue with the appointed liquidator and hope that the historical issues that led the club to this position can be resolved for the benefit of football being played at the stadium into the future and to ensure it can continue to provide the community with the fantastic facilities it offers."
