The mother of stab death victim Antoin Akpom has paid tribute to her son in song as friends and family gathered for his funeral.
Cheryl Armatrading sang a version of Peggy Seeger's The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, to hearty applause from the other mourners in the church.
Football coach Mr Akpom, aged 20, died last month after being stabbed in an attack in Kent Street, Leicester.
Family and friends have paid tribute to tragic Antoin Akpom, describing him as an "incredible person" who would be "deeply missed".
They spoke of his infectious smile and "happy-go-lucky" nature.
