The National Lottery operator, Camelot UK, has announced that a £12million EuroMillions prize from a ticket bought in the Ladywood area of Birmingham has remained unclaimed more than 180 days after the draw took place.
The money has now passed over to the National Lottery Good Causes. The deadline for the ticket-holder to claim their prize was at 11pm on Wednesday 27 November, 2013.
With just over 48 hours to go until an unclaimed £12m prize is due to expire, The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Mike Leddy, started a special countdown clock outside the Library of Birmingham.
The clock was started to add urgency to the plea for Ladywood residents to check their tickets.
The winner of a £12million prize in the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle has until 11pm on Wednesday to claim their money.
The winning ticket was bought in the Ladywood area of Birmingham.
