Manhunt for two thieves who attacked and robbed pensioner

A manhunt has been launched to find two thieves who attacked and robbed an elderly woman in broad daylight.

Appeal for help over daylight robbery of pensioner

Detectives investigating an unprovoked attack and robbery of a pensioner have appealed for help in tracking down the culprits.

The 78-year-old was walking along Greystone Street, Dudley, at around 11am on December 15 when she was pushed to the ground by two men, who ran off with her handbag.

Det Cons Nick Slym, from Dudley CID, urged anyone who saw the attack or the men, who ran off towards Pitfield Street, on that day to come forward.

This was a completely unacceptable attack against an elderly woman who was minding her own business.

It happened in broad daylight and I’m sure there would have been other people in the area at the time that may have seen the pair responsible.

If you think you can help our investigation, please call as soon as possible.
