Holocaust Memorial Day is being commemorated across the Midlands ahead of the official day of remembrance tomorrow. The day is a time to remember all those who have died during genocide - not just during the Second World War.

The organisers of the day, the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, say it is a time to 'honour the survivors of regimes of hatred and challenge ourselves to use the lessons of their experience to inform our lives today.'

There are events taking place across the Midlands and more information can be found on the HMD Trust website.
