A Rugeley mum was "shocked" to find herself the target of online abuse after a photo was secretly taken of her breastfeeding in public - and posted onto an online community page. She is now campaigning for greater acceptance of public breastfeeding.

Hundreds of women are expected to breastfeed at a mass protest in Rugeley in Staffordshire after a picture of a woman breastfeeding her daughter was posted on Facebook.

In it Emily Slough was labelled a 'tramp' for feeding her daughter Matilda.

Under the Equality Act 2010 it is sex discrimination to treat a woman unfavourably because she is breastfeeding.

Emily Slough has received messages of support from around the world after a photograph of her was posted on the Spotted Rugeley Facebook page, along with an abusive message.

The page has now been taken down and replaced, with the new administrators offering their support to Emily.
