Nottinghamshire chapel damaged after fire

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a Chapel in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire in the early hours of this morning. Around 25 firefighters tackled the blaze. The building has been severely damaged. Police are now controlling the site.

15 firefighters remain at scene of church fire

15 firefighters are currently at the scene of a church fire in Eastwood in Nottinghamshire.

Fire crews were called to the blaze at around 1:50am. At its height 25 firefighters tackled the fire.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service say the building has suffered severe damage.

The fire is now being scaled down.

A joint investigation by the fire service and police will take place shortly to establish the cause of the fire.
