Man denies cyber-attack on Home Office

A man from Stoke-on-Trent has denied launching a cyber-attack against the Home Office.

Mark Johnson, of Josiah Wedgwood Street, in Stoke-on-Trent, pleaded not guilty at Birmingham Crown Court today.

The 44-year-old is alleged - under the Computer Misuse Act - to have encouraged or assisted in a 'distributed denial of service attack' on websites operated by the Home Office and the Home Secretary, Theresa May, on June 15th 2012.

Mr Johnson has been granted bail until his trial begins on November 3rd.
