Police investigating the stabbing of a Wolverhampton doorman are keen to identify someone as part of their investigation.
Detective Inspector Ian Iliffe, leading the inquiry, said:
We know that there was a black man with a fair complexion, aged in his mid-30s, who was around at the time of the attack. He was wearing a long-sleeved dark coloured top and possibly a dark coloured hat and I believe he could have crucial information about what happened. Officers were met with a highly-charged scene when they arrived in the early hours of this morning and there were a large number of people gathered at the venue. It’s important we speak to as many of these individuals as possible if we are to ensure the person responsible is swiftly arrested.
Police are examining forensic evidence and CCTV footage at the scene today and are keen to talk to witnesses.
