A father whose wife and three children died in a house fire in a botched revenge attack in Leicester broke down in court as he explained how their deaths have destroyed his life.

Dr Muhammad Taufiq Sattar read a victim impact statement in front of eight men who were convicted of killing his family.

He spoke to our reporter Rajiv Popat.

A father whose family were killed in a house fire in Leicester will today reveal in court the impact the tragedy has had on him.

Two men were yesterday found guilty of murdering Dr Taufiq's wife and three children, after the fire at their home in Wood Hill last year. Six others were found guilty of manslaughter.

The group will be sentenced tomorrow.

Dr Taufiq has been praised by police for his dignity during the trial.

Dr Taufiq, who has been left without a family after a fatal arson attack on his home in the Spinney Hills area of Leicester has paid tribute to "four amazing human beings."

His wife and three children were killed in a case of mistaken identity at their home in Wood Hill.

Eight men have being convicted of the killings after the court heard they targetted the wrong house in a revenge attack.

CCTV footage was shown to the jury during the trial of eight men who were found guilty of killing a family at their home in Leicester.

The first image show cars being driven into Woodhill in Leicester. The second image shows some of the defendants walking through the city shortly after the blaze was started.

The third image shows one of the accused, Nathaniel Mullings and Cairo Parker when they were unaware they were being filmed. A petrol can was thrown into a hedge.

The final image shows some of the defendants stopping off at a nearby takeaway after the fire had been started.

A man who was left without a family after a fire was deliberately started at his home, killing his wife and children, says he feels no "anger" or "hate" towards those accused this.

The father of three children killed in a house fire in Leicester has told a press conference about his children. Dr Taufiq's wife also died in the blaze in September last year and he has paid tribute to her as a "charitable" member of the community.

It comes after two men were convicted of their murders and six men were found guilty of manslaughter.
