Police have revealed the names of a couple who were found murdered at their home in Solihull yesterday morning, as Pin Chang aged 58 and his wife Quoi Chang aged 50.

A post-mortem examination revealed both died from stab wounds at their home on Hermitage Road, after officers were called shortly after 5:00am on Monday.

A 23-year-old man remains under police guard in hospital in connection with the deaths.

Police describe double murder as 'truly horrific'

West Midlands Police has posted a video online describing the double murder of a man and woman in Solihull yesterday as a 'truly horrific incident'.

Chief Superintendent Alex Murray appears in the video, to say the incident is confined to one particular family, and to reassure the community.

He goes on to say that the 23-year-old man arrested in connection with the deaths is receiving 'critical care' in hospital.

West Midlands Police has confirmed the two victims of a double murder investigation in Solihull both died from stab wounds.

The bodies of a 50-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man were found at an address in Hermitage Road after reports of an attack going on inside the house at 5:15am on Monday.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is under police guard in hospital.

Police say all three people were known to one another and they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the murders.

A man is under police guard in hospital after being arrested on suspicion of the murder of a couple in Hermitage Road in Solihull.

Police launched a murder inquiry after getting an emergency call around 5:15 am following at disturbance at the house. At the scene they found the bodies of a 58 year old man and a 50 year old woman.

They also found a 23 year old man with serious injuries who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say all three people were known to one another and they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the murders.

A double murder investigation is underway after two bodies were found at a house in Solihull.

West Midlands Police were called to reports of an attack inside the house shortly after 5 o'clock this morning, but when officers arrived a 58-year-old man and 50-year-old woman were dead.

A 23-year-old man is tonight being held on suspicion of murder. Chris Halpin reports.

Police have confirmed a 23-year-old man is being held on suspicion of murder after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a house in Solihull.

Officers were called out to a home in Hermitage Road at just after 5:15am this morning after reports of an attack.

The bodies of a 58-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman were found at the scene.

The road is still closed off while investigations continue.
