Cars left hanging after car park collapses in Nottingham

Structural engineers have been called in after part of a car park collapsed in Nottingham city centre, leaving vehicles dangling over the edge of the building.

Structural engineers have been called in after part of a car park collapsed in Nottingham city centre.

The entrance and exit of the NCP Nottingham City car park in Mount Street was left blocked after part of the building fell down in the early hours of this morning.

The fire service and police are also working at the scene and a number of nearby roads have been closed.

The closures are in Mount Street, from the junction with Cumberland Place to Maid Marian Way, in Cumberland Place, and Park Row, to the junction with Cumberland Place.

NCP say nobody was injured and no vehicles were damaged. They have apologised for any inconvenience it has caused.
