Suicide rates 'worryingly high' in autistic people

ITV News Central has been investigating concerns about suicide rates among autistic people. It comes after research by Coventry University shows that two thirds of adults newly diagnosed with the condition had contemplated suicide.

We've been speaking to a mum from Warwickshire who has seven children, six of whom are autistic. For the last 10 years, she's had to cope with looking after them on her own as her husband, who she thinks was on the autistic spectrum, took his own life.
