Two men arrested after nightclub brawl

Two men accused of wounding a man outside a Broad Street bar will appear in court today.

The men, aged 20 and 22 both from Birmingham, were arrested after trouble flared at the O Bar in Broad Street on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old victim, from Bewdley, suffered a fractured skull and is currently in intensive care in hospital where he remains critically ill.

A 19-year-old girl was also assaulted during the same incident but her injuries are not serious.

The men have both been charged with the offences of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

They will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court.

People arrested in connection with Ding murders released on bail

Three people arrested yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to assist an offender in connection with the Ding family murders have been released on police bail.

University lecturer Jifeng Ding, his wife Helen and their two daughters were found stabbed to death in their home in Northampton on May 1.

The 54-year-old woman who was arrested in Coventry, the 39-year-old woman arrested in Gloucester and the 25-year-old man from Islington in London were interviewed at police stations yesterday.
