Three people who distracted a woman and stole her bank card used it to spend over five thousand pounds on alcohol and cigarettes.
Police say a man asked the victim for directions in a supermarket car park in Pendeford, Wolverhampton.
A woman took two bank cards from the victim's purse, which was on the passenger seat.
The thieves spent £5,537 in supermarkets across Wolverhampton, Willenhall, Walsall, Birmingham and Oldbury.
They bought cigarettes and alcohol.
Police have issued CCTV images of the people they want to trace.
The man is described as eastern european, between 50 and 60, around 5ft 8ins tall and of large build.
The first woman is aged in her late 30s and was around 6ft tall with dark curly, dark hair.
The second woman is described as eastern european, around 5ft 8ins tall with shoulder length dark hair.
