It has been more than two decades since the film 'The Bodyguard' was released, but last Christmas the story of the pop star who falls for her protector returned as a London musical.
And now the show has a new leading lady. She's a Wolverhampton born-and-bred soul supremo - Beverley Knight.
Tonight she is facing the West End theatre critics for the first time.
Beverley is hoping some of the Wolves players will come and watch one of her performances.
Multi award-winning recording artist Beverley Knight, from Wolverhampton, has joined the cast of the West End musical, The Bodyguard.
She has been playing the leading role of Oscar-nominated superstar Rachel Marron.
Beverley said she is 'excited' about playing the role in the musical.
