Swimmer Ollie Hynd to collect his MBE

Paralympic gold medalist, Ollie Hynd, will collect his MBE today.

He made the New Year's Honours List after his performance at London 2012.

Like his brother Sam, Ollie has muscular dystrophy. Ollie lives in Kirkby-in-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire.

Louis Smith 'proud' to be receiving MBE today

Gymnast Louis Smith will join fellow Olympians today at Buckingham Palace to receive an MBE.

The gymnast also won BBC's Strictly Come Dancing Credit: Adam Davy/PA Wire

After winning a silver and bronze medal in the London 2012 Olympics, he said being chosen for the honour was the proudest moment of his life.

Following the Olympics, Smith won BBC dance series Strictly Come Dancing.

Burning Buckingham Palace raises over £11,000

Over £11,000 was raised for Staffordshire Air Ambulance during the evening.
