£500,000 weed farm seized in West Bromwich

Half a million pounds worth of cannabis has been seized at one property in West Bromwich. The problem is that severe, West Midlands Police has its own dedicated force.

In the last 18 months, over 1,000 weed farms have been found across the West Midlands. That's around three or four a day.

Police say that in some cases, Vietnamese farmers are flown in especially to manage the production.

One thousand cannabis farms have been raised by West Midlands Police in the last 18 months - an average of 3 or 4 a day.

The latest raid was of a Warehouse in West Bromwich containing a thousand plants with a potential street value of £500,000.
