Man killed in Christmas Day crash

A 23-year-old man from Grantham was killed in a Christmas Day smash.

The accident happened on the B1990 Sleaford Road at Metheringham involving a Blue Peugeot 307 and a white Fiat.

The driver of the Peugeot died in hospital from his injuries. Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident.

Man killed in Christmas Eve crash

A 25-year-old man was killed on Christmas Eve after being involved in a car accident in Leicestershire.

The accident happened around 6.05pm on Thornborough Road, Coalville and involved two cars, a black Ford Focus and a white Lotus Elise.

The driver of the Lotus, Matthew Hordley from Throngstone was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and three other passengers in the other car received minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

Witness appeal after man dies in car accident

A man has died after a car accident in Nottinghamshire, another man remains critical in hospital.

The accident happened near Worksop around 1.10pm today in Ollerton Road.

Both men were travelling in a red BMW Coupe towards Ollerton when the car left the road and flipped over.

Both men believed to be in their 20s were taken by air ambulance to the Queen's Medical Centre.

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A man has been taken to hospital after his car crashed through a fence and a pole pierced through the windscreen in Staffordshire.

The emergency services were called to County Lane in Codsall Wood at around 8.45am this morning to find the car had crashed onto a field (Monday 26 November).

The driver who is believed to be in his 30s was treated at the scene for head, spinal and leg injuries before being taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

Two dead and one critical after car hit tree

Two people have died and one man is in hospital with critical injuries after the car they were travelling in hit a tree in Birmingham.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction of Bristol Road and Pebble Mill Road at 4.10am this morning.

The car was carrying four men, the front and rear seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene and one man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious, multiple injuries.

The driver of the car was treated for minor injuries at the scene and then taken to hospital.
