Notts County have appointed Chris Kiwomya as their permanent manager on a three-year deal.
The 43-year-old joined as development squad manager in February 2012 and was made caretaker boss after the departure of Keith Curle last month.
Chris Kiwomya's first game as manager will be away to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday evening.
The club then host Carlisle United next Saturday.
In a statement, the Board of Notts County said it had been suitably impressed by Kiwomya in his position as caretaker manager, following the departure of Keith Curle.
Notts County has confirmed caretaker boss Chris Kiwomya will step up to the role of first team manager for the remainder of the 2012/13 season.
Kiwomya joined the club as a development squad manager in February last year. He took control of the first team earlier this month, after the club parted ways with Keith Curle.
Tributes have been paid following the death of seven-year-old Lucas Kiwomya. Lucas' father, Chris Kiwomya is currently the Development Squad Manager at Notts County Football Club.
"Notts County were deeply saddened to hear this week of the tragic passing of Lucas Kiwomya. The thoughts and prayers of everyone associated with Notts County Football Club are with Chris and his family as they try to come to terms with their loss at this most unimaginably difficult of times."
