Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has announced on social networking site Twitter that he's appearing in this year's pantomime at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham.

The actor and former Britain's Got Talent judge described his excitement at playing 'Hoff the Hook', describing it as "HOFFTASTIC'.

He'll appear in the production of Peter Pan which will run from Saturday 7 December 2013 - Sunday 12 January 2014.

The country's biggest collector's event has come to Birmingham for the weekend.

Film, TV and sport memoribilia is on display at the NEC and the event has also attracted some big stars, including David Hasselhoff, star of 90s TV shows Knightrider and Baywatch.
