Police have issued a warning after six railway detonators were stolen in the Rugby area today.
The detonators are placed along railway tracks to warn staff working on lines of approaching trains. When a train runs over the mini-explosives a loud bang is emitted.
The items were stolen from a van in Stretton under Fosse between 12.00pm and 01.00pm today.
The detonators are small discs measuring 5cm in diameter. Police say in untrained hands the explosives could be very dangerous.
