Thousands of people have crowded into the streets of Leicester as the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities celebrate the fifth annual Pride festival.
A parade was held, taking people through the city centre before ending up in Victoria Park, where there is music, cabaret and dancing, as well as a fairground and stalls.
Organisers of Birmingham's annual Gay Pride festival have confirmed that JLS will still perform their 60-minute DJ set at the end of May, despite the group’s announcing they’re splitting up.
Last week, Birmingham Pride organisers announced the event’s biggest ever line-up. Alongside JLS, the 2013 festival will also include live performances from Bananarama, Stooshe, Lucy Spraggan, and a DJ set by Paloma Faith.
