Mourners are gathering in the village of Tollerton in Nottinghamshire for the funeral of a soldier killed in Afghanistan.
Guardsman Michael Roland who was 22 and served with the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards died on 27 April in Helmand province.
He had overnight deployed there for less than a month.
He was shot during an exchange of small arms fire with insurgents.
Guardsman Roland had four-month twin boys, Joseph and Johnny.
Today his girlfriend and his father will be among those reading eulogies at the service at St. Peter's Church.
