Bank worker bailed after £750,000 theft and fraud allegation

A bank worker from Worcestershire has been charged with theft and fraud involving £752,000.

The 26-year old man, who worked for Lloyds Banking Group at a Halifax branch in Redditch, is alleged to have stolen over £187,000, while working as a counter-support officer.

He is also accused of fraud, with £565,000 being taken from non-customer accounts between September 2011 and July 2012.

The man has been released on bail and will appear at Redditch Magistrates' Court on February 5.
