A Leicester-based charity that has supported parents for 40 years fears funding cuts could push them to the brink of closure.
Leicestershire County Council is looking to save £53 million of cash usually spent on struggling families.
Troubled families in Leicestershire are classed as families with complex needs or single parent families where a partner has died.
Each year they cost taxpayers around 160 million pounds.
Now, Leicestershire county council wants to work with other agencies to pool budgets and set up family support teams.
