A woman who led the campaign over treatment at Stafford Hospital says she is angry that no one has been held accountable for the failings.
Stafford Hospital has paid out more than a million pounds in compensation for treating patients in an "inhumane and degrading" way.
Labour MP for Leicester East Keith Vaz could face a parliamentary investigation over reports of mystery payments into his bank account.
"The whole family cry together in agony when we imagine our children lying in blood.
If the emergency call had been handled properly it would have saved lives, even caught the perpetrator.
Our paramount aim is to work together, solve the case and catch the perpetrator."
- The police were sent to the wrong address.
- The call should have had ‘immediate’ rather than ‘priority’ response.
- Insufficient effort to establish the welfare of the caller.
- The standard by which police handled the call was unacceptable. IPCC Commissioner Amerdeep Somal said:
" Our investigation has found this particular 999 call was badly mishandled. Northamptonshire Police has reacted constructively to our findings by introducing new procedures in handling abandoned 999 calls in accordance with national guidance and retraining relevant staff."
