Burton Albion fans queue for Wembley tickets

Long queues have been forming early this morning with Burton Albion fans eager to get their hands on a ticket for the League Two Play-Off final on Bank Holiday Monday.

Around 21,000 tickets are available to Brewers fans for the clash against Fleetwood on May 26. Burton Albion posted these photos earlier, showing the early start for fans this Sunday morning - at least they get to queue in the sunshine.

Tickets for Burton Albion's League Two Play-Off final have just gone on sale. It's after the Brewers' victory against Southend, winning 3-2 on aggregate at Roots Hall yesterday.

21,000 fans will be able to walk up Wembley Way on Bank Holiday Monday, in the final against Fleetwood on May 26.

Brewers fans can book their tickets for Wembley after semi-final success

Burton Albion fans are celebrating after their side drew with Southend and booked a play-off final place at Wembley after a 2-2 finsih at Roots Hall.

Ahead of today's 12pm kick-off, the Brewers led the tie owing to their 1-0 home win at the Pirelli Stadium in midweek.

Marcus Holness got things going for his side, scoring a bullet header to give them a 2-0 aggregate lead and the best possible start.

But any early celebrations proved premature, as Southend's Ryan Leonard slotted calmly past Dean Lyness and levelled the match for The Seasiders, sending the home crowd into raptures.

Things got worse for the travelling faithful, as Anthony Straker nodded Phil Brown's men level just six minutes later in the 38th minute.

With little over five minutes remaining of the first-half, Burton had to resist an onslaught as the home side looked to capitalise on their momentum and take control of the tie.

After clearing their lines on a number of occasions, the men in yellow made it to the break still with it all to play for.

The second half was a tense affair, but Adam McGurk secured the draw and sealed the 3-2 aggregate victory with a low right foot drive, after a Chris Hussey free-kick.

Gary Rowett's men can now recover and look forward to a play-off final tie on May 26th, as Brewers fans book their tickets.


Brewers level the score to regain aggregate lead

Adam McGurk has put the Brewers back in the lead on aggregate, scoring with a right-footed shot from a low Chris Hussey free-kick against a hapless Southend keeper.

If the score stays level, Burton will win the tie owing to their 1-0 victory in the first-leg and head to Wembley for the League Two play-off final...

Brewers 2-1 down after first half of play-off second leg

Burton Albion are losing 2-1 away at Southend United after the first half in their League Two play-off semi-final second leg at Roots Hall.

The tie is now level at 2-2 on aggregate after the Brewers' 1-0 home victory in the first tie. If the score remains the same, the match will go into extra time.
