A £1 million lottery winner in Warwickshire has missed out on picking up their prize because the deadline has passed.

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited have revealed that someone had won the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle draw on New Year’s Eve last year but now it's too late to claim their prize because it's been more than 180 days.

The ticket-holder bought their ticket in Warwickshire.

A National Lottery spokesperson said:

“We tried very hard to find the ticket-holder and it’s a real shame that they have missed out, but there is still one winner – the nation. This money, and all the interest earned over the 180 days, will now go to benefit projects all over the UK funded by The National Lottery.”
