Central Lowton

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Matthew Lowton from Sheffield United.

The full back agreed a three-year contract at Villa Park, joining for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £3 million.

23-year-old Lowton made more than 70 first team appearances for the Blades.

He is Paul Lambert’s third signing since replacing Alex McLeish last month.
