Four children escaped serious injury when the car they were travelling in smashed into a motorway central reservation.
Paramedics were called to the eastbound carriageway of the M54, near junction six at Telford shortly after 3.35pm yesterday.
The driver, a woman in her 30s, was cut free from the car and was taken to Princess Royal Hospital suffering seat belt injuries, an arm injury and neck pain.
Two of the children were treated for minor injuries and the other two were assessed and found to be uninjured.
The entry slip road at J3 A41 (Albrighton) has been closed to help emergency services with traffic management.
Eastbound carriageway between J3 and J2 A449 (Wolverhampton) remains closed due to an accident.
Delays of up to half an hour reported.

A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car on the M-54.
She was airlifted by air ambulance after the accident on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 3 -2 at 7:45am today. Police then closed that section of the motorway to carry out their investigations.
Police are appealing for eyewitnesses to contact them.
