The M69 motorway in Leicestershire has been reopened.
Earlier this morning it was closed after black ice caused several crashes in a short space of time.
Motorists are still being advised to drive with extra care.
Police have closed the southbound carriageway of the M69 in Leicestershire because of black ice on the road.
It follows seven crashes within a short space of time earlier this morning.
Officers say no-one were seriously injured in the collisions.
The road will be re-opened when it is deemed to be safe again.
