Hannah won a bronze in the Games and famously had her medal stolen in a London bar, before it was anonymously returned.

Olympian "extremely pleased to be reunited with medal"

Lincolnshire-born British Olympic bronze medallist Hannah Macleod says she is relieved and grateful to have her medal returned.

The 28-year-old had her medal stolen at a club in Mayfair just hours after attending an event hosted by the Queen to celebrate London 2012 athletes.

“I’m extremely pleased to have been reunited with my medal. It’s a huge relief. I’m enormously grateful to the Metropolitan Police

"Given the huge impact the Olympic Games has had on London and the UK I always held hope that it would be returned but it’s still incredible to know now I have my medal back. People understand how much these medals mean to the athletes and those in the communities who have played their part in supporting us."
