Motorcyclist dies following crash in Herefordshire

A motorcyclist has died and his partner is seriously injured following a crash in Herefordshire.

It happened just after 5pm on Saturday on the A44 between Leominster and Monkland and involved a blue and white Suzuki motorbike and a blue Vauxhall Insignia car.

51-year-old Paul Carr was pronounced dead at the scene.

His partner, 54-year-old partner Karen Fisher was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where her condition is described as serious but stable.

Steve McQueen's motorbike up for auction in Stafford

A motorbike once owned by Hollywood legend Steve McQueen is set to go under the hammer today in Stafford.

The 1914 Indian Model F once owned by the daredevil actor is among more than 240 bikes going up for auction at the Bonhams sale at the International Classic MotorCycle Show.

The bike, which is expected to sell for between £22,000 and £28,000, is an example of a board-track racing motorcycle.

Seven taken to hospital after series of motorbike accidents

So far this weekend, West Midlands Ambulance Service have been called to seven accidents involving motorcyles.

In one incident a nine-year-old boy was airlifted to University Hospital of North Staffordshire after a collision between a pushbike and a scooter.
