Subject of the search for King Richard III is raised in parliament

As scientists work to establish whether a male skeleton found at an archaelogical dig in Leicester is that of Richard III, one of the city's MPs has intervened.

A metal arrow was found lodged in the skeleton which also shows signs that the person had curvature of the spine.

DNA tests are now taking place to see whether it is Richard who died at the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.

Today the Leicester MP Jon Ashworth raised the subject in parliament
