Two charged with Newark murder

An 18-year-old man and a 16-year old boy have been charged with murder following the death of a 19-year old man from Newark.

The body of Nathan Somers was discovered on a path in Beacon Hill Conservation park on Friday night.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he had been stabbed.

Three other men who were also arrested have been bailed pending further enquires.

A sixth person has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Nottinghamshire.

The body of Nathan Somers was discovered at the Beacon Hill Conservation Park on Friday night.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he had been stabbed. Police are now questioning three men, one aged 27 and two aged 18, along with two teenage boys.

The park is expected to stay closed while forensic examinations continue.
