50 famous faces attend the National Space Centre for Movie Mania weekend

Over 50 characters from some of the world's greatest movies have been at the National Space Centre this weekend, taking part in Movie Mania.

The two-day event, which is raising money for Make-a-Wish and Help 4 Heroes, allows visitors to interact with their favourite movie characters – from Mary Poppins to Star Wars.

Visiters have also been enjoying workshops, movie make-up lessons and talks – including a Q&A with Mark Addy, who starred in The Full Monty, Game of Thrones and A Knight's Tale.

National Space Centre pays tribute to Neil Armstrong

The Chief executive of the National Space Centre in Leicester, Chas Bishop, says Neil Armstrong was 'probably the most famous man of the 21st Century.'

As flowers continue to be laid at the entrance of the Centre, people inside are being shown a video of Neil Armstrong's mission, in memory of the man who first stepped on the moon.
