The 10-year-old boy, who died in hospital following a road collision in Newark at the weekend, has been named as Deividas Jucys.
He sustained serious head injuries when a silver Jeep Cherokee collided with the boy in Friary Road, Newark, at around 5pm on Saturday 22nd September.
The young boy died in the early hours of this morning at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. His condition is described as critical.
Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses.
