PC Fiona Bone who grew up in Castle Donington in Leicestershire and PC Nicola Hughes were shot dead as they responded to a 999 call in Greater Manchester on 18 September.

Ten police officers are taking part in a 110 mile charity walk in memory of PC Fiona Bone from Castle Donington and her colleague Nicola Hughes, who were shot dead in Greater Manchester last year.
They have been walking all night and will arrive at their destination at Uppermill in Greater Manchester tomorrow morning after walking for more than 50 hours and covering over 110 miles.
Money raised from the walk will go to the Care of Police Survivors charity.

A memorial vigil is taking place in Greater Manchester to the two police officers shot dead on duty. PC Fiona Bone spent her early years in Castle Donington. Her parents have previously paid tribute, saying they have lost a "wonderful daughter, sister, partner and parent." More information here.
