Brian Rollins who was born in Birmingham spent a decade hunting for the 1936 Austin Seven Opal Tourer, which took him and his pals on days out to the seaside.

The 78-year-old finally tracked his first car down at the 2011 Classic Motor Show – 56 years after selling it.

The great-grandad spent almost a year turning around its “dreadful” condition – and will be back at the NEC today as a finalist in a national car restoration contest.

Pensioner's death sparks police investigation

Police have launched an inquiry into the death of an 85-year-old woman in Chesterfield.

Derbyshire Police said a cordon had been placed around a property in the town after the OAP's body was found on Wednesday afternoon.

The inquiry is in its initial stages, a police spokesman said, and it is not yet known if the circumstances of the death are suspicious.

Anyone who saw anything of note near the address in Blandford Drive over the last couple of days is being asked to contact Derbyshire Constabulary on 101.
