A lorry driver has denied killing a four-year-old girl in a motorway crash.

Priyanka Bhogal, from Coventry, was in a car that was involved in a collision with a lorry on the M6 Southbound in the early hours of Sunday November 27 2011. She died from her injuries.

Robert Booth, who is 63 and from Sunderland, appeared at Warwick Crown Court today, accused of causing death by dangerous driving. He was bailed and ordered to return to court for trial on February 4 2012.

Man charged with causing death by dangerous driving

A 63-year-old man from Sunderland has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a little girl was killed in a crash on the M6 in November.

4-year-old Priyanka Bhogal, from Coventry, died in hospital from serious injuries when the car in which she was travelling was involved in the collision.

Seven others were also injured in the multi-vehicle collision.

The man has been released on police bail and will appear before Solihull Magistrates' Court next week.
