Stoke have signed 19 year old Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Molina on a three-year deal.

Molina has signed a contract until 2018 at the Britannia Stadium, subject to international clearance, but he will initially join up with the Potters' Under-21s side.

A defensive midfielder, Molina has come through the ranks at Real Madrid, having joined the Spanish giants aged just nine, and he follows in the footsteps of fellow Spaniard Moha, who arrived at Stoke from Barcelona earlier in the summer.

A football fan so disgusted with the referee’s decision to send-off a player in last night’s Champions League clash, rang 999 to report the incident to Nottinghamshire Police.

The 18-year-old Manchester United supporter was watching the second-leg tie against Real Madrid from his home in a village near Bingham, when he felt that Nani's controversial sending-off for a high challenge was a crime, so subsequently called police.

The man later apologised for his actions, claiming to have been caught up in the excitement.

Around two per cent of all calls reported are considered hoax by Nottinghamshire Police, with 6,933 incidents in 2012.
