New Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho dealt a blow to West Bromwich Albion by confirming he expects striker Romelu Lukaku to be part of his first team plans next season.
Lukaku was West Brom's top goal scorer while on loan with them last season with 17 goals in 35 league appearances.
In his first press conference since rejoining the London club, Mourinho said Lukaku "was ready to come and be part of the [Chelsea] squad" next season.
Romelu Lukaku is reportedly ready to open talks with West Bromwich Albion about extending his stay at The Hawthorns for another season.
He's on-loan from Chelsea, they have opted not to recall him.
The 19-year-old cost Chelsea £18 million when he moved from Anderlecht in 2011.
The Belgian international has said that he views the chance of regular football at West Brom as more beneficial to his career development.
