A driver has been seriously injured following a three vehicle crash in South Warwickshire this morning.
The crash happened on the A429, just outside Wellesbourne at around 9.10am. The Midlands Air Ambulance joined a rapid response vehicle and two ambulances in assisting to the crash.
The woman who was driving the car that overturned, believed to be in her 40’s, suffered a serious hand and arm injury. The woman had managed to remove herself from the vehicle before ambulance crews arrived.
A man in his 60’s and a man in his 40’s, travelling in the other two vehicles, both suffered minor injuries and were checked over at the scene. Both were discharged and did not require hospital treatment.
One pedestrian has died and another has been seriously injured following a road traffic collision in Birmingham last night.
The incident occurred on Walsall Road, Great Barr at around 6pm. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Trust's CARE Team and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.
“Crews arrived to find a car and two pedestrians that had been in a serious collision.
“One woman had suffered multiple serious injuries and received emergency treatment at the scene. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of ambulance crews, nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
