The scene at Sandwell Park where the body of a man in his 40s was found floating in water yesterday.
West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation after a man's body was found floating in a lake at Sandwell Valley.
It happened yesterday at around 9am, staff at Dartmouth Park spotted someone in the water.
Officers confirmed the man could not be saved and the area was sealed off.
He hasn't been formally identified yet but police believe he lived locally and was in his 40s.
A post mortem will be carried out later today to determine the cause of death.

A 50-year-old man from Tipton has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a body in a park in Sandwell this morning (5 September).
Police were called to Jubilee Park just before 8am following reports that a man had suffered serious injuries after being knocked down by a car.
The victim, thought to be a 58-year-old man from Wednesbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.
