A 15-year-old schoolboy accused of attacking a man outside a Small Heath mosque earlier this month, has been charged with murder.

The 21-year-old man the schoolboy (who cannot be named for legal reasons) allegedly assaulted, died on 6th June after spending five days in hospital.

A port-mortem examination earlier this week confirmed he died as a result of blunt force trauma injuries to the head.

Two other men arrested in connection with the incident aged 42 and 20-years-old are both on police bail until next month.

Police are keen to hear from anyone with information about the incident that took place on the 1st June at around 2.30pm.
