Boys bailed after fatal car crash

Two 14-year-old boys who were arrested in connection with the manslaughter of a woman from Northampton have been released on bail.

Pharmacist Joanna Smith, 32, was killed when she crashed her Honda Jazz on April 10, forensic tests showed a tyre on her car has been punctured deliberately.

The victim who was originally from Poland was pronounced dead at the scene on the eastbound A45 near Earls Barton after the damaged tyre caused her to crash.

"Two 14-year-old boys who were arrested yesterday on suspicion of causing criminal damage and the manslaughter of Joanna Smith, have been released on bail, pending further enquiries."
