Thousands of people lined the streets of Nottingham today as the second stage of the Tour of Britain started at the castle.
Olympic gold medalist Bradley Wiggins takes part in the Tour of Britain today, with Nottingham Castle hosting the second leg.
The leader of the Tour of Britain, Mark Cavendish, has spoken of the support he has received during the event.
Here was the starting lineup for Stage 5 today of the Tour of Britain in Stoke-on-Trent. Italian, Ivan Basso for Liquigas is the current leader.
The gap between the leaders and the Peloton is up to 2 minutes 20 seconds with Ivan Basso in the lead of Liquigas.
Breakaway of three riders now clear of the rest of the pack with Basso of Liquigas, Salzberger of Team Raleigh and Huzarski of NettApp leading. They are around 1 minute 55 seconds ahead of the rest as they approach the hills.
