Crossrail contract could favour Derby train-maker Bombardier
Hopes that Derby train-maker Bombardier will win a £1 billion pound contract to build trains for the Crossrail project have been given a boost by the Transport Secretary.
The tendering process for the work to build carriages for the proposed line running through London has opened today.
Transport Secretary Justine Greening said she was:
– Justine Greening MP, Transport Secretary"keen to understand and communicate the benefit of this contract to the UK economy".
